Casarex 2025
Iran and Russia have launched a joint maritime rescue and relief exercise in the Caspian Sea, aimed to boost naval coordination with neighboring countries. The spokesman of the joint exercise, Razaghi says the drills are held under the slogan “together for a safe and secure Caspian Sea”. The main phase, codenamed Casarex 2025, is held with the northern fleet of the Iranian navy and Russian vessels participating following coordination meetings. Observers from other Caspian Sea countries will also be present at the three-day maneuvers.
Gaza ethnic cleansing rising toll
The Israeli military is pressing ahead with its genocidal war on Gaza killing many more civilians. According to medical sources, Israeli attacks have killed some 100 people in one day, most of them from northern Gaza. The figure also includes victims from Gaza city where Israeli fighter jets hit a water desalination plant. To the south, IOF targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. Four people trying to get aid near a distribution center are also among the dead. 134 bodies and over 1,100 wounded people were taken to hospitals. The death toll of the Israeli genocide in Gaza has surpassed 59,000 people. Over 142,000 have also been injured most of them woman and children.

The French Economy Minister warns that if ongoing tariff negotiations with the United States break down, Paris is prepared to implement countermeasures. Lombard also emphasized that the talks in Washington are being led by the European Commission, in close coordination with EU member states. He stressed that the budget presented last week by French Prime Minister is aimed at shielding French companies—without raising taxes or increasing their financial burdens. Washington has proposed a 10% tariff on all imports and up to 30% on European goods, including key French exports. Meanwhile, the US has signaled it will not back down from its August 1 deadline for increased duties on the European Union, even as Brussels races to reach a deal before then.
