Tel Aviv, Ashdod base under attack
A major upsurge in Hezbollah retaliatory strikes against Israel. In its latest attacks, the Lebanese resistance movement has targeted Tel Aviv, causing large fires and leaving casualties. The Israeli rescue service says five people were wounded in an area east of the city. Hezbollah says it carried out an operation against a military target, using a barrage of advanced missiles and a swarm of strike drones. The resistance movement also launched a drone attack on the Ashdod naval base in southern Israeli-occupied territories for the first time. Israeli media described the attacks as unprecedented since last October. Some 40 vehicles were damaged and four million Israelis rushed to shelters. The strikes follow Israel’s large and violent attacks on the Lebanese capital on Saturday. Hezbollah says its operations are in support of the Palestinian people and in defense of Lebanon.

Also in central Gaza, at least six civilians were killed in Israeli bombing of the Nuseirat refugee camp. At least two Palestinians were killed in al-Saftawi area, northwest of Gaza City. Meanwhile, the Israeli evacuation order has forced hundreds of civilians to flee Gaza’s Shujai’yyah neighborhood. The Israeli aggression against Gaza began on October last year. Since then, more than 44,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 104,000 others injured.
