After the Ottoman Empire collapsed, new countries with new boundaries emerged. But boundaries are not a natural phenomenon. One of them was Turkey that started constructing dams within its boundaries at the cost of depriving its neighbors of water. The dam construction triggered a plethora of natural, social and political repercussions.
