Mehdi Golzadeh is a seasoned presenter and anchor with over 10 years of on-air experience. He currently works as Press TV’s Sports anchor, the host for The Subcontinent, as well as an editor/narrator for Iran Today and On the News Line.
Mehdi started out at Press TV in 2012 as a sports writer, and then a presenter of The Lite News. He has narrated over 100 stories for the Newsroom, and Africa Today. He was Press TV’s on-field reporter at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, covering 22 days of non-stop competitions, and also anchored studio coverage of the 2012 London Olympics, 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 2010, 2014, 2018 World Cups, and Euro 2012, 2016, 2020.
Mehdi lived in Hungary and England for more than 15 years. After his return to Iran, he started teaching English at Shokouh language school, while studying English Literature at Payam Noor University.
At the same time, Mehdi started working for Sahar International Network, as a newswriter, editor, voice actor, narrator and presenter. He was the only English reporter at Sahar, covering major events such as the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the passing anniversary of the founder of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khomeini, the International Qods Day, the 33-day war on Gaza in 2014, national conferences with heads of state, as well as art and culture events such as the International Holy Quran Competition and the Simorgh Festival. He was also the host for Islam and Life, Insight, and featured on Pure Home.
