Pakistan Shias reject govt. religious restrictions

In Pakistan, Jamat-e-Islami party has held a rally to slam growing political terrorism in the country. An election rally of Jamate-e-Islami came under attack by its rival party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement in Karachi. Our correspondent in Pakistan Hamza Ameer reports .

Saudi Arabia and its allies have been attacking targets in Yemen since Wednesday. Riyadh has asked Islamabad to join the military action. Religious and political parties in Pakistan have opposed the request and vowed to pressure the government not to be part of the Saudi-led campaign.

Pakistani paramilitary forces are stationed in the eastern city of Lahore amid street protests over recent bombings.
