Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei led the congregational Friday prayers in the capital Tehran for the first time in five years, attended by more than a million people from different parts of the country.

Official says some 90,000 have been pardoned following a mass amnesty in February on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The Leader says divisions and political polarization in the US political system have undermined the country’s successive administrations over the years.
