Sudan's water resources minister says the unilateral move by Ethiopia to fill the reservoir at Renaissance Dam "threatens the lives of half the population in central Sudan."

Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan have long been in talks to secure an agreement on the potential impact of the dam on their water security.
