Iran's FM Zarif, US Secretary of State Kerry discuss final deal
Negotiations between Iran and the P-five-plus-one group of countries over a final deal on Iran's nuclear energy program continue in Vienna. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed the remaining differences over the text of the deal in a meeting. After the talks, Kerry said difficult issues still remained unresolved. Earlier today, Kerry also held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. On Friday, Foreign Minister Zarif said that Iran knows no deadlines over the agreement. He said reaching what he described as a good deal is possible provided the P5+1 shows a strong political will.

New meetings held in Vienna over remaining issues on Iran deal
Iran and the P5+1 group of countries are spending the last days of nuclear talks that are expected to culminate in a much-awaited deal over the Iranian nuclear energy program. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has met with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini. This follows a deputy ministerial meeting between Iranian and US teams to iron out the last remaining differences over the text of the deal. To fill several key brackets in the main text the ministers are required to make a number of political decisions. Some disputes over the appendices of the deal concerning the sanctions and the simultaneity of actions also remain to be resolved. The top diplomats of Iran and the US will meet once there is progress in the meetings of their deputies. Also, other P5+1 foreign ministers who left Vienna yesterday are expected back tonight.
