A summit has been held in Uganda to find ways to tackle the rising threat of terrorism in East Africa. Several Muslim leaders have taken part in the meeting.

Over 200 lawmakers from Uganda’s ruling party have come up with a proposal to scrap the presidential age limit. The proposal comes ten years after the ruling party legislators removed presidential term limits to allow President Museveni to run for the 2006 elections.
