Madrid has summoned the Israeli envoy to protest the occupying regime's attack on the Gaza-bound aid flotilla in international waters and the abduction of pro-Palestine activists.

Esmail Baghaei described the Zionist regime’s attack on the humanitarian vessels in international waters as “state piracy and a terrorist act,” urging the United Nations to hold the occupying regime accountable.

Hamas has praised activists in the Global Sumud Flotilla for their attempt to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza. 

Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska says the country will file a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding the mistreatment of Gaza flotilla activists in Israeli detention.

Some of activists released from prisons have spoken of Israeli forces mistreating the detainees.

Freed activists say beaten, kicked, and locked in a cage by Israeli forces during imprisonment in occupied territories.
