Iranian and Pakistani military forces have staged a day-long joint naval training exercise in the Strait of Hormuz and the northern tip of the Persian Gulf.

Iranian Navy chief Rear Admiral Shahram Irani says the country plans to stage two joint naval exercises with foreign military forces in the northern tip of the Indian Ocean within the next few months.
