Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stressed that the success of ongoing indirect nuclear talks with the United States hinges on the “seriousness and realism” of Washington.

Iran ended the latest round of nuclear talks in Geneva with cautious optimism, rejecting unlawful US demands, insisting that sanctions relief and diplomacy, not military threats, are the only way forward.

Abbas Araghchi says the latest round of indirect talks with the US was one of the best, most serious, and longest to date, and that Tehran and Washington moved "closer to an agreement."

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi says technical-level talks between the US and Iran will be held next week in Vienna, after what he described as significant progress in the latest round of negotiations.

Pezeshkian reiterates that Iran’s opposition to promotion of nuclear weapons is rooted in theological and religious beliefs. 

The Iranian foreign minister said “there is every possibility to come to an agreed solution which is fair and balanced” with the United States in Geneva.
