The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned that any new act of aggression against Iran will be met with a response extending beyond geographical boundaries.

IRGC spokesman Second Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi made the remarks on Sunday after the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, ordered senior military commanders to ensure that any level or type of enemy threat is met with an “immediate, impactful, and geographically unrestricted response.”

Referring to the Leader’s new directive, Mohebbi said, “A broad operational scope has been delineated to inflict damage on the enemy and achieve full deterrence.”

“The IRGC has placed the identification of new targets and the planning of operations across new geographical areas on its agenda.”

The spokesman also stressed that the Iranian armed forces are better prepared than ever to deliver a decisive response to the enemy.

He further noted that the adversary has now turned to negotiations and mediation amid its failure to overthrow the Islamic Republic and disintegrate Iran while facing difficulties in reopening the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

The US and the Israeli regime waged their first illegal war against Iran, which lasted 12 days, in June 2025. Their second aggression began on February 28 and came to a halt in early April after 40 days.

In both wars, Iran’s resistance and successful retaliatory operations forced the aggressors to accept a ceasefire.

Iran has also maintained a tight grip on the Strait of Hormuz since the early days of the second imposed war in response to Washington’s acts of mischief in West Asia.

General Mohebbi said the US has been unable to reopen the Strait of Hormuz even for a few hours despite possessing the world’s largest navy and maintaining a military presence in the region for decades.

“The US military doctrine was based on establishing bases across the region and pledging to provide security for regional countries. Today, however, these bases have been destroyed by Iran and turned into a source of insecurity for their host countries,” he added.

He also emphasized that the war on Iran collapsed the image portrayed by the US of intelligence superiority and dealt a blow to Washington in the economic sphere.

“This war demonstrated that the United States is not invincible and is incapable even of defending itself,” he asserted.
