A senior Iranian lawmaker has warned that the Islamic Republic will deliver an immediate and even harsher response to any new threat, with “zero limits” and an open bank of targets, stressing that Tehran alone will determine when the US-Israeli-imposed war ends.
Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks in a post on X on Saturday, underscoring the absolute and non-negotiable nature of directives from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
“The decree of Iran’s wise and resolute Supreme Leader is absolute and non-negotiable,” Azizi wrote. “To any threat, we will deliver an immediate and even harsher response—with zero limits and an open bank of targets. Without a doubt, we dictate when this war ends—not those who failed in the imposed wars of the past.”

The warning comes amid continued tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian naval forces have maintained control of traffic since the United States and the Israeli regime launched their unprovoked aggression against Iran on February 28. Iranian authorities have repeatedly stated that vessels must adhere to established wartime navigation rules and obtain necessary clearances, with those ignoring warnings facing consequences.
Recent reports indicate that several oil tankers sustained damage after striking mines or being involved in incidents while attempting to transit unauthorized or prohibited zones in the waterway.
Iranian naval statements have attributed such incidents to vessels that disregarded radio warnings and proceeded into unsafe areas, reinforcing Tehran’s consistent position that security in the strait is inseparable from ending the aggression.
Azizi’s statement aligns with longstanding Iranian policy that any miscalculation by the aggressors will be met with a decisive and disproportionate response.
Iranian officials have previously emphasized that the country’s missile, drone, and naval capabilities remain fully operational, and that targets belonging to the United States, the Israeli regime, and any parties facilitating the war remain on the table.
The lawmaker’s remarks also reflect Tehran’s insistence that past rounds of the imposed war have failed to achieve the objectives of the aggressors.
Iranian military and political leaders have repeatedly stated that the Islamic Republic, having absorbed the initial blows and responded forcefully, now holds the strategic initiative and will set the conditions for any cessation of hostilities.
As diplomatic contacts continue through intermediaries, with US officials acknowledging ongoing talks while claiming no immediate pressure for a deal, Iranian authorities have maintained that any lasting resolution requires the full withdrawal of American forces from the region, an end to the blockade and aggression, and recognition of Iran’s sovereign rights over its waters and territory.
