Top commander calls President Pezeshkian’s UN address ‘resounding voice of the proud Iranian nation’
Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has praised President Masoud Pezeshkian’s address to the United Nations General Assembly, saying the speech served to vociferously communicate the message of the Iranian nation to the world.
The speech translated into “the resounding voice of the proud and divinely commissioned Iranian nation,” Major General Ali Abdollahi wrote in a message on Wednesday.

“The honorable Iranian people slapped the criminal US president in the face before the eyes of the world through Dr. Pezeshkian,” the top commander added.
He also issued a strong warning on behalf of the Armed Forces, saying the servicemen would continue staging retaliation in the face of aggressors until avenging the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the children of the southern Iranian city of Minab, who were targeted during the early stages of the latest round of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
“As long as Iran’s waters, soil, and skies are threatened, no aggressor country and none of the aggressors’ supporters will have security,” Abdollahi concluded.
In his UN address, Pezeshkian had asserted that Iran could not be forced to surrender. “We proved that we do not fear war to defend ourselves; we do not flee from negotiation for peace, and we stand to the last breath for the defense of dear Iran,” he had said.
He had also underlined that Iran’s military capabilities were intended for defense and that the Islamic Republic would not seek permission to defend itself.

A day earlier, US President Donald Trump had used his address to the General Assembly to repeat his menacing rhetoric concerning Iran, saying he was poised to make a “big decision” on whether to make a deal or “quickly annihilate” Iran. Trump had also rehashed his allegations against the Islamic Republic of pursuing “a nuclear weapon.”
