Iran has formally transmitted its non-negotiable conditions for the revival of diplomacy to the United States, demanding the complete cessation of US aggressive actions, the lifting of the naval blockade, and the immediate release of Iran's blocked assets.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei announced on Tuesday that a new round of message exchange took place between Tehran and Washington on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, facilitated by the Qatari mediator.
"Yesterday, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting, in continuation of the talks mediated by intermediary countries between Iran and the US, another round of message exchange and clarification took place through the Qatari mediator," Baqaei stated.
He emphasized the thorough and unambiguous nature of the diplomatic transmission, noting that the process lasted approximately two hours.
"In this process, Iran's positions and conditions for reviving diplomacy were conveyed to the American side in a manner that leaves no doubt or ambiguity, and no excuse for any party," the spokesman added.
Baghaei outlined the specific prerequisites that Washington must fulfill before any meaningful diplomatic progress can occur, stressing that Tehran's stance is firm and transparent.
“Iran’s conditions are clear and transparent,” Baqaei declared, listing them as the complete cessation of aggressive actions by the United States—including the naval blockade and economic terrorism—the end of the war on all fronts, the release of Iran’s blocked or restricted assets, and the acceptance of a safe shipping route as agreed upon between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
This latest diplomatic exchange via Qatar comes against the backdrop of Iran's strategic upper hand following the US-Israeli war of aggression that began in late February 2026.
Despite Washington's attempts to impose a naval blockade and launch a campaign of "economic terrorism," the Iranian Armed Forces have successfully neutralized the US military advantage and seized operational control of the Strait of Hormuz.
The conditions outlined by Baqaei align directly with the broader strategic framework set by Iran's Supreme National Security Council.
Earlier this week, Major General Mohsen Rezaei revealed that Iran has formally drafted seven conditions for the resolution of the conflict, which have been communicated to the US via Pakistan, Qatar, and Iraq.
Tehran has repeatedly reiterated that the era of unilateral concessions is over, making it clear that the United States must act first to build trust.
