Iran will never forget angelic faces of Minab children: FM spokesman
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has marked the start of the school year in Iran by cherishing the memory of children massacred in a US attack on a school in the southern city of Minab early this year.
Esmaeil Baqaei said in a Wednesday post on his X account that the Iranian people will never forget the angelic faces of the children killed in the US attack on Shajareh Tayyibeh school in Minab on February 28, the first day Washington started a joint military aggression with the Israeli regime against Iran.
“They (school children) should have been here today, bright-eyed and joyful, celebrating the start of a new school year. Instead their slain bodies lie buried in the earth,” Baqaei said in the post as he insisted that the Iranians “will never forgive their killers”.
He said the US government bears direct responsibility for the “unforgivable war crime” while other countries and entities who have “stood silent and looked away” also share responsibility.

United Nations investigators and international human rights organizations have confirmed that the US attack on the school in Minab, which was carried out with precision weapons and with prior knowledge about the presence of children in the school, was a war crime.
The US government has yet to officially accept responsibility for the attack.
In his post, Baqaei also referred to a Tuesday speech by US President Donald Trump in the United Nations General Assembly in which he again threatened Iran with annihilation.
He said Trump’s words were a clear sign that he “mockingly flouts international law from the UN podium”.
