In this edition of the program Unscripted interviews David Vine. He is a collaborative writer, political anthropologist, and author of several books. These books include Base Nation: How US Military Bases Abroad Harm America and the World, and Island of Shame: The Secret History of the US Military Base on Diego Garcia.
His work focused on issues including US foreign and military policy, military bases, forced displacement, and human rights. His other writing has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian Mother Jones, Foreign Policy in Focus, Chronicle of Higher Education, and International Migration, among others.
