Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has detailed some of its recent crushing blows to Israeli-linked spies and traitors who attempted to take advantage of the war conditions in the country.
In an announcement on Wednesday, the ministry said that following constant monitoring of individuals suspected of serving Israel through helping anti-Iran plots, at least 111 traitors belonging to monarchist cells were arrested in preemptive operations across 26 provinces.
These “Zionist soldiers” were attempting to trigger riots in the country, it said, adding that a considerable number of firearms and knives as well as batons, shockers, spray cans, fake flags, among others, were also confiscated.
Intelligence agents in cooperation with security forces also managed to spot and arrest four spies working for the terrorist regime of the United States and its proxy services, including two individuals in the western province of Hamadan.
The spies, specially trained for espionage under the cover of an American institution for cultural affairs in a neighboring country passed the locations of military equipment depots of the Armed Forces in the province to the US-Israeli enemy.
Two other spies were detained in Iran’s West Azarbaijan province, where they worked for the US-Israeli enemy at an intelligence service based in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
The ministry said two caches of weapons, including 29 handguns, two AK-47 assault rifles with 58 magazines were seized while being transported from Iraq’s Kurdistan to the western province of Kermanshah.
Another cache containing eight handguns along with 161 of their cartridges, a radio for wireless communication and 21 Molotov cocktails was also confiscated in the northeastern province of Khorasan
Razavi, the ministry said, adding that a number of individuals were also arrested.
According to the announcement, 21 individuals were arrested in Tehran, Hamadan, Fars and West Azarbaijan provinces for sending photographs and videos and information about checkpoints, sensitive locations and gathering places of police and security forces to the Zionist “Iran International” television network.
The ministry also said that its intelligence agents in cooperation with security forces managed to detect and seize two large caches of 350 Starlink satellite system devices when they were being illegally transported from one of the Persian Gulf Arab states to the southern province of Hormozgan.
