‘No War with Iran’: Massive protests sweep across US

Anti-war protesters rallied across the US on Sunday, including Washington, DC, to oppose Washington’s military offensive against Iran.

A wave of anti-war demonstrations has erupted across the United States in response to the US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Thousands of Americans took to the streets on Sunday in several US cities, including Washington, DC, where protesters gathered near the White House and the US Capitol.

In New York City, demonstrators marched past Trump Tower, waving signs describing President Donald Trump as a "war criminal" and demanding an immediate ceasefire.

In Los Angeles, massive rallies saw thousands chanting against "endless, immoral wars." In Chicago, demonstrators gathered in the downtown area and Federal Plaza, chanting, "No War on Iran."

Similar protests were held in Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Denver, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Seattle.

The protests also reached smaller cities, with demonstrations reported in Akron, Aliso Viejo, Anchorage, Asheville, Baltimore, and dozens of others, including Cincinnati, Columbia, and San Diego.

According to recent polls, public support for the current US-Israeli war on Iran has plummeted to less than 30% in the United States.

According to organizing groups—the ANSWER Coalition, CodePink, and the National Iranian American Council (NIAC)—the protests are part of a broader effort to pressure Congress and the Trump administration to halt the illegal war that has so far claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people in Iran.

The protests have also gained support from political figures, including Representative Rashida Tlaib, who has publicly condemned the US-Israeli strikes on Iran as "illegal warmongering."

The US and the regime in Tel Aviv launched an unprovoked and illegal aggression on Iran on February 28, assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and several top-ranking military commanders.

In response, Iranian armed forces have carried out multiple waves of retaliatory operations using advanced missiles and drones.

US military bases across the West Asian region, as well as Israeli military bases in the occupied territories, have been pounded, inflicting damage to the tune of billions of dollars, according to US media reports.
