Russian, Palestinian Authority presidents discuss Gaza

Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted the Palestinian Authority's President Mahmoud Abbas for talks focused on Gaza. Putin emphasized that the creation of a full-fledged Palestinian State is essential for peace in West Asia.
The Russian head of state said his country would provide funding to the US-proposed "Board of Peace" to support reconstruction efforts in Gaza. The issue was later discussed by Russian and American officials in Moscow as well.
