Legacy beyond martyrdom

Six years after his martyrdom, General Qassem Soleimani remains a defining figure in the modern history of resistance in West Asia, not only for his military leadership but for a strategic vision rooted in deterrence, transnational solidarity, and resistance to occupation and hegemony.

His legacy transcended sectarian boundaries, forging an axis grounded in shared principles rather than narrow identities, and continues to shape resistance movements from Palestine and Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen. It is in this spirit that this conversation is held with Sheikh Maher Hammoud, President of the World Union of Resistance Scholars, a leading Sunni voice who has consistently framed resistance as a moral, political, and civilizational obligation.

Marking six years since General Soleimani's martyrdom through this dialogue is not merely remembrance, but a reaffirmation that resistance is a shared moral stance and an ongoing historical trajectory.
