Intl. law under assault

Iran has hosted a conference titled “International Law under Assault” to discuss the legal implications of the 12-day U.S.–Israel aggression.

Iran’s top nuclear official Mohammad Eslami told the conference that confidential information provided by Iran to the agency was abused during the 12‑day aggression, denouncing IAEA hypocrisy for refusing to condemn U.S.–Israeli attacks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi added that diplomacy was the first victim of the 12‑day war against Iran.

Participants argued that the United States and its allies are seeking to impose a force‑based international order rather than a rules‑based one.

This episode of Spotlight examines different aspects of the conference, including how and why Iran’s confidential information shared with the IAEA was exploited by Israel and the United States.
