Palestinian journalists attacked in Beita, silenced by new legislation in Knesset

In the occupied West Bank town of Beita, six journalists were assaulted while covering settler attacks — their cameras destroyed, and beaten mercilessly.

As they recover in hospital, Israel’s Knesset has passed the so-called “Al Jazeera Law,” allowing the regime to shut down any media outlet without a legal proceeding — a move critics say aims to institutionalize the silencing of journalists.
