US calls for alliance modernization with South Korea to contain China

The US and South Korea are heightening regional tensions through the US-led push for alliance modernization.
During his visit to Seoul, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has praised South Korea for increasing its military spending and purchasing additional American weapons systems. Peace activists, however, are opposed to such alliance.
