Serbs flock to Novi Sad to commemorate railway station tragedy

A day before the first anniversary of the deadly accident at Novi Sad train station, thousands of Serbs are heading to this northern city to take part in a day of remembrance.

Sixteen people died when a canopy collapsed at the newly renovated station on November 1, 2024, a tragedy that sparked a year of protests against the government and corruption.
