As we once again approach the atomic bombing anniversary of Hiroshima, Japan, after 80 years, we are still puzzled by so many questions.
Was it justified to slaughter over 150,000 civilians? Did we learn anything? Was there any accountability for the victims? Have we put into place proper checks and balances so that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki massacres would not be repeated? Today, the disaster facing the Gaza Strip perhaps answers many of those questions. Charlotte Kates, international coordinator, Samidoun Palestinian prisoner solidarity network, from Beirut, and Yves Engler, author and political activist from Ottawa, are tonight's guests.
