Georges Abdallah to be freed after 40 years in French prison

After more than 40 years of detention, a French court ordered the release of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah.

The pro-Palestinian Lebanese activist will be released on July 25th. Convicted in 1984, his prolonged imprisonment became a symbol of political interference in the French justice system, resulting in full-scale diplomatic tensions.
