Israel’s war on Iran

Early Friday on June 13, Israel launched massive air and missile strikes across Iran, an unprecedented assault Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed was aimed at the country's nuclear facilities.

The attacks targeted Iran's top military leadership, killing several senior officers, including armed forces chief of staff General Mohammad Baqeri and chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami.

Several senior scientists were also killed in the Israeli attacks which targeted residential neighborhoods as well as nuclear and military sites, and left 78 people dead and almost 400 injured by Friday afternoon.
