A spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Iran will no longer observe any red line if the Israeli regime carries out another act of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
"If a new aggression occurs against Iran, Iran's response will be crushing and we will have no red lines,” Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini said in an interview with the al-Mayadeen television news channel on Friday.
He added that the Israeli regime failed to achieve its goals during its 12 days of acts of aggression against Iran.
“Iran’s swift response nullified the enemies' calculations. In the recent war, the enemy’s goal was to destroy the Islamic Republic’s capabilities,” he said.
The enemy has explicitly announced that it waged the war against Iran with the purpose of forcing the country to surrender and disintegrate it, the IRGC spokesman noted.
Naeini said the enemy resorted to military actions against Iran after it failed to get its goals through negotiations, adding, “Iran’s enemies have no enough understanding about the Islamic Republic.”
He emphasized that the Zionist enemy targeted Iranian military commanders and intended to destabilize the country “but we gave a quick response to it.”
The Israeli regime is now concerned about Iran’s “devastating” response if it launches a new war against the Islamic Republic, Naeini said.
During the 12-day war, he added, Iran fired more than 2,000 missiles and drones toward the occupied territories, most of which hit their “military, security and economic” targets.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked aggression against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.
More than a week later, the United States also jumped on the bandwagon and bombed three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the illegal aggression.
