The Schreiber family, British Property magnates, own significant chunks of British real estate up and down the country.

Their property portfolio ranges from the former Duke of York pub in Clapham, Cornmill Shopping Centre in Darlington, the Idlewells shopping center in Sutton and Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, the Regent Centre office block in Newcastle, an entire block of buildings on Newhall Street, Birmingham, to Discovery Park, a life sciences business park in Sandwich, Kent.

The family is headed by Miriam and David Schreiber, who are listed as owning the ultimate parent of many of the companies involved, the Midos Group.

Both are listed in Companies House documents as being 72 years of age.

The CEO of Discovery Park, Mayer Schreiber, is one of nine siblings of the family.

According to the Guardian, the Schreibers are at the center of a complex corporate network of big landlords who avoid business tax rates by claiming religious exemption and costing cash strapped councils millions.

They have been working with a charity to advertise vacant properties as places of worship so they can avoid paying tax to the relevant local council.

At Discovery Park in Kent, some 60 separate units in the park were declared available for worship over a two year period.

This is patently a corrupt scam, which the charity claim has saved businesses some 18 million pounds in tax, almost all of it, presumably, related to property owned by the Schreibers.

Discovery Park is also significant since the Elbit subsidiary Instro Precision Limited is based there. This location has been attacked by members of Palestine action on four separate occasions, most recently in September 2024.

Though Mayer Schreiber has an official registered address at Discovery Park, and claims on his LinkedIn to be based there, neither he nor any of the family members live in Kent, rather, almost all live in North London, which is where the core of their network is based.

As the Guardian put it, "from a nondescript, three story brick building in London, home to 321 active companies, according to Companies House, this dynasty of property entrepreneurs controls a nationwide real estate empire”.

This “nondescript building” at number 147 Stamford Hill in North London, is owned by Schreiber family members and associates.

More than 25 firms, which are part of the Discovery Park operation, are registered at this address, where, in the early hours of the morning on the May 29 the Palestine action Sword of Justice struck, causing significant damage and industrial quantities of denial and lies about the factual connections between the address and Elbit Systems' ‘death factory’.
