Lebanon votes in municipal elections amid Israeli strikes on south

The fourth and final round of Lebanon’s 2025 municipal and mayoral elections has kicked off in two strategic governorates of Nabatieh and South.

The elections are held amid concerns that the Israeli regime might take measures to threaten the safety of the polls. Thanks to the consensus between Amal and Hezbollah movements, they have secured victories in nearly eighty municipalities.

Our correspondent, Mariam Saleh, has asked some voters about the significance of these elections in the town of Kafarkela, in southern Lebanon.
