Israeli forces have killed a Palestinian-American teenager in the occupied West Bank.
Omar Mohammed Saada Rabea, 14, was shot dead on the outskirts of the town of Turmus Ayya on April 6, said the mayor of the town, Adeeb Lafi Shalabi, on Tuesday.
The Israelis also wounded two other Palestinian-American teenagers, Shalabi said.
The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what it labeled as the latest in a “series of extrajudicial killings” by the Israeli forces and denounced the “use of live fire against three children.”
“Israel's continued impunity as an illegal occupying power encourages it to commit further crimes.”
Mohamed Rabea, the father of the murdered teenager, said, “I want to send a message to [US] President Trump, so that he at least puts an end to this situation and stops sending weapons that are killing his citizens.”
“Six gunshot wounds, two to the heart, two to the back, and two to the head.”
There have been no comments coming out of the White House with respect to the shooting.
On April 3, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, said the situation in the occupied West Bank is "extremely alarming."
Turk said his office has verified that the Israeli military and settlers have killed at least 900 Palestinians across the West Bank since October 7, 2023, including 191 children and five people with disabilities.
