Israel’s recent strikes on the besieged Gaza Strip have killed the sister of Press TV’s correspondent in the Palestinian territory.

The sister of Ahmed al-Najjar was martyred as Israel’s prime minister decided to resume the genocidal war on Gaza.

Press TV extends its sincere condolences to the reporter and his family over the tragic death.

Israel carried out fresh airstrikes on Gaza early Tuesday, killing more than 400 Palestinian people in one of the biggest single-day tolls since the start of Israel’s genocidal campaign in October 2023.

The attacks shattered a ceasefire and prisoner-captive exchange agreement that lasted nearly two months.

Israel launched the campaign of genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023. It has killed at least 49,547 Palestinians there so far.

In January, the Israeli regime was forced to agree to a ceasefire deal with Hamas given the regime’s failure to achieve any of its objectives, including the “elimination” of the Palestinian resistance movement or the release of captives.

The 42-day stage of the truce, which was marred by repeated Israeli violations, expired on March 1, but Israel is refraining from stepping into talks for the second stage of the agreement.
