An Israeli military vehicle has fatally struck a Palestinian man in Jenin in the West Bank, which has been subject to the regime's largest onslaught in years since the Gaza ceasefire took hold.

The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as 32-year-old Fathi Ahmad Salah.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Salah was riding a motorcycle near a roundabout in Jenin on Monday evening when an Israeli military vehicle violently hit him, inflicting severe injuries on his body.

Salah was rushed to Ibn Sina Hospital, where medics pronounced him dead shortly afterward.

The Israeli military launched its assault on the occupied West Bank on January 21, stating that the objective was to target the resistance fighters linked to the Jenin Battalion.

Since the beginning of the Gaza war in October 2023, the actions of the Israeli army and illegal settlers have led to the deaths of at least 930 Palestinians, with nearly 7,000 individuals sustaining injuries in the occupied West Bank.

Last July, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) declared that Israel’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal, demanding the evacuation of all illegal settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
