As the Los Angeles fire is devouring more houses and people flee their homes, the death toll from raging wildfires rises to 16. At least 180,000 residents are under evacuation orders in California. As a result, around 35,000 homes and businesses are without electricity in southern Los Angeles. US officials are criticized for mismanagement of resources leading up to wildfires. This as Los Angeles cut 17.5 million dollars from the Fire Department Budget this fiscal year.
In this episode of Spotlight, Press TV looks deeper into such mismanagement with Abayomi Azikiwi, editor of Pan-African Newswire from Detroit and Mike Billington, editor of Executive Intelligence Review from Hamilton, Virginia.
