Israel’s expansionist agenda

The latest Israeli attacks on Syria have sparked a range of reactions across the region, reflecting the complex and evolving dynamics of Middle East geopolitics. The leader of Hay’at Tahrir-Sham, in his comments on the situation, said the new government of Syria has no intention of confronting Israel.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah secretary general Sheikh Naim Qassem offered a different perspective, asserting that Israel’s recent assault against Lebanon was not connected to the Gaza conflict but part of Israel’s broader expansionist agenda. He reiterated Hezbollah's strong support for Syria, citing the country’s anti-Israeli stance in line with bolstering resistance movements both in Lebanon and in Palestine.

Furthermore, Abu Obaida, the spokesperson of al-Qassam Brigades, accused Israel of deliberately targeting a site where Israeli captives were being held, claiming that the Israeli military bombed the location multiple times to ensure their death.
