4 Israelis injured, 1 seriously, during ‘car-ramming operation’ in S West Bank

A reported car-ramming operation near the city of al-Khalil (Hebron) in the south of the occupied West Bank has injured four Israelis, one of them seriously.

The operation targeted the al-Fawar Junction near the city on Saturday, resistance media outlets reported.

Israeli paper The Jerusalem Post identified one of the casualties as an Israeli trooper “in his 30s, who was severely injured, sustaining significant limb injuries.”

The operation was followed by an extensive search mission involving the Israeli military, police force, and Shin Bet, the regime’s so-called internal security service.

The Palestinian Wafa news agency also said Israeli forces had sealed off the entrance to al-Khalil.

The operation came amid a campaign of intensified deadly aggression and arrest by the regime across the West Bank that began last October after Tel Aviv started taking the Gaza Strip under a genocidal war.

As many as 479 Palestinians, including 116 children, have been killed and around 11,900 others arrested throughout the occupied territory ever since the launch of the war that has so far claimed the lives of at least 44,664 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Palestinians have, meanwhile, stepped up their retaliatory operations across both the coastal sliver and the West Bank.

Most recently, two Israeli forces sustained injuries when a Palestinian carried out a run-over operation during an Israeli military incursion into the town of al-Khader, located five kilometers (3.1 miles) west of Bethlehem in the south-central part of the West Bank.

Hamas calls for ‘more painful strikes’

Reacting to the Saturday development, Gaza-based resistance movement Hamas called it “a natural response to the genocide and brutal aggression committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip, and the persistent attempts to liquidate our cause through settlement, Judaization, and annexation in the West Bank.”

The group stressed that the resistance strikes were continuing and escalating, despite all of the Israeli regime’s aggressive measures.

“Our resistance will continue the epic of heroism in light of the continued criminality and abuse of our people and our land. The occupation’s plans and crimes will be met with more resistance strikes.”

Hamas called for “more painful strikes” in the heart of the occupied Palestinian territories.
