May 16: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed nearly 35,300 Palestinians so far, including more than 16,000 children, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The major operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Wednesday, May 16, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades' operations on May 16:

• Ambushed an Israeli military's engineering force and detonated an anti-personnel explosive device on their vehicle on George Street near Al-Tabaeen Mosque, east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in a number of casualties. 
• Targeted and destroyed an Israeli military troop carrier with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in Block 2 area of ​​Jabalia refugee camp, northern Gaza Strip.
• Attacked a gathering of Israeli soldiers east of Jabalia town with explosives, and destroyed two D9 bulldozers with a tandem shell and a guerrilla action device.
• Targeted and destroyed four D9 military bulldozers and a Merkava tank with Al-Yassin 105 shells near Jabalia town. 
• Targeted and destroyed a D9 military bulldozer with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in the Al-Tanour neighborhood, east of the city of Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip.
• In a joint operation with Al-Quds Brigades, engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli regime force at the Abu Zeitoun junction in Jabalia camp, in the northern Gaza Strip. 
• Targeted three "Merkava 4" tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells east of the city of Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip.
• Bombed a command and observation site of the Israeli military east of the city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip with mortar shells.
• In a joint operation with Al-Quds Brigades, shelled the artillery unit of the Israeli military east of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, with a barrage of mortar shells.
• Targeted a gathering of Israeli forces on the axes of advance east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip with mortar shells.

Al-Quds Brigades' operations on May 16:

• Targeted and destroyed a Merkava 4 tank with an anti-tank shell near the Saad Mosque in the Al-Qasasib neighborhood in the city of Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip.
• In a joint operation with Al-Qassam Brigades, targeted a Merkava tank with an Al-Yassin 105 rocket and engaged in clashes from point blank range with a special Israeli military unit in the Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip. 
• Engaged in fierce clashes, using appropriate weapons, against Israeli forces on the axis of advance in Block 2 of Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip, inflicting heavy casualties. 

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades' operations on May 16:

• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers in the city of Tubas, using machine guns and explosive devices. 
• Bombed a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles in the Al-Salam neighborhoods east of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, with heavy mortar shells.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers who stormed the city of Tulkarem, using machine guns and explosive devices. 

Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades' operations on May 16:

• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces near the post office next to Abu Al-Aish Street in Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip. 
• Bombed the “Nahal Oz” settlement with a barrage of rockets. 
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers at the Jabalia Services Club axis, and blew up their military vehicle. 

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces' operations on May 16:

• Targeted a gathering of Israeli forces in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with short-range 107-type rockets.
• Sniped an Israeli soldier in the vicinity of the Adnan Abu Taha Junction in the Al-Jeneina neighborhood, east of the city of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip. 

Hezbollah's operations on May 16:

Eastern sector:

• At around 10:00 local time, the 210th Golan Division in Nafah, the air defense system in Kila and the artillery guns in Yoav were targeted with appropriate weapons. 
• At around 13:38 local time, the Metula site was targeted with a kamikaze drone equipped with 2 “S5” missiles. 
• At around 17:07 local time, the Al-Marj site was targeted with appropriate weapons. 
• At around 17:30 local time, the Al-Sammaqa site in Kfar Shuba was targeted with appropriate weapons. 
• At around 18:15 local time, surveillance equipment of the Israeli military in Al-Tayhat site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 18:50 local time, the Elbit Military Industries Company of the Israeli regime was targeted in Tel Hai with a volley of drones.
• At around 22:50 local time, Israeli forces were targeted in the Ramim barracks.

Western sector:

• At around 08:35 local time, surveillance equipment of the Israeli military at the Adathar site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 11:00 local time, the Zarit Barracks was targeted with appropriate weapons. 
• At around 11:10 local time, surveillance equipment of the Israeli military at the Jal al-Alam and Ramia sites were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 17:30 local time, a group of Israeli soldiers in Jal al-Alam site was targeted with appropriate weapons.

Islamic Resistance in Iraq's operations on May 16:

• Launched a barrage of drones at Haifa oil refineries in the Israeli-occupied territories.
