Iran is now among the leading five countries in the field of manufacturing super heavy methanol synthesis reactors, thanks to the sustained and all-out efforts being made by its domestic experts and specialists at knowledge-based firms.

The notable achievement was put on display at Machine Sazi Arak (MSA) industrial machinery and equipment manufacturing corporation in Iran’s central city of Arak on Saturday.

Contracts for the acquisition of six sets of the super-heavy methanol synthesis reactor intended for Siraf Energy Petrochemical Company and Dena Petrochemical Industrial Company in Iran’s southern coastal province of Bushehr were also signed during the unveiling ceremony.

According to Iran's Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) News Agency, the entire processes of design, assembly, welding and manufacturing of the reactor, which require utmost precision and unerring accuracy, have been successfully carried out by MSA professionals.

The first home-grown super-heavy methanol synthesis reactors will be supplied to Dena Petrochemical Industrial Company in the near future.

Iran used to import super heavy methanol reactors, but presently, is among the world’s top five countries in the field of manufacturing them, given the relentless efforts of the local experts and engineers.

MSA has already secured contracts with Siraf Energy Petrochemical Company and Dena Petrochemical Industrial Company to supply them with 24 sophisticated and strategic parts, which have been domestically developed.
