Two late goals were enough to give the Netherlands a crucial 2-0 win over Senegal in their World Cup opener.
Louis Van Gaal’s side had to wait until the 83rd minute to find the breakthrough, as Cody Khak-Po leapt to meet a Frenkie de Jong cross, and head into the net.
The Europeans sealed the deal way into the stoppage time, when Memphis Depay’s shot was parried by the Senegalese keeper and stuck-in on the rebound by Davy Klaassen.
The result puts the Netherlands and Ecuador level on top of group A. They face each other on Friday.
