US environmental discrimination

An entire community in the US has been left without safe tap water after floods damaged a long-troubled treatment plant causing its breakdown.

Now, the city of Jackson, Mississippi state’s capital has declared a state of emergency. This catastrophe has sparked widespread concerns about firefighting, sanitation, and residents’ health. But the water issue runs deeper than just dirty water, in what has been called environmental racism in the US.
