In the NBA, the Portland Trail Blazers have erased a 23-point deficit on their way to a 112-103 victory over the visiting New York Knicks.
Portland started on the back foot as they lost the first 2 quarters and trailed 53-48 at half time. The things went from bad to worse for the Blazers who were crushed 39-29 in the 3rd to see the gap extend to 15 points. But it was a different story in the 4th, as Portland ripped off 13 straight points to take the lead and eventually the victory. Anfernee Simons scored 30 points for the Blazers while Julius Randle collected 28 points for the Knicks, who finished a 5-game road trip with 4 losses.
Meanwhile in Washington, the SacrAmento Kings defeated the Wizards 123-110 to open up a three-game road trip on a positive note.
The Wizards dominated the first half by collecting 13 points, before settling into a 65-59 lead at the intermission. However SacrAmento stormed back in the 3rd to take a 92-88 lead into the 4th and closed it out 31-22 for their 2nd straight triumph. There were also wins for the Bulls, Heat, Spurs, Suns, Warriors and the Clippers on Saturday night.
