Spanish Super Cup Final: Real beat Bilbao 2-0 to win 12th title
Real Madrid have lifted the Spanish Super Cup as they eased to a 2-0 victory over Athletic Club in the final showdown in Saudi Arabia.
In a game where Carlo Ancelotti was looking to win his first trophy back in his second stint as Real manager, Luka Modric bent home a first-time shot to move his side ahead in the 38th minute.
Shortly after the break, Karim Benzema added a second from the penalty spot as Los Blancos held on to claim their 12th Super Cup trophy and move to within one of Barcelona's record tally of 13th.
