Outrage over UK plans to outlaw anti-Israel BDS movement

Alarm bells have rung across Britain after a Conservative MP informed pro Israel activists about government plans to outlaw the pro-Palestine Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

The comments were reportedly said by British lawmaker Robert Jenrick during an online conference about anti-semitism titled: 'Why do so many people hate Jews?'

Since 2005, the boycott campaign, also known as BDS, has sought to sanction all Israeli made products produced on illegally occupied Palestinian land.

The movement has been so successful in causing economic damage to Israel that pro-Israel groups have branded BDS an 'existential threat'.

This development would be the latest in a long line of attacks against Palestine Solidarity this government has taken. Next year, we can almost certainly expect to see protests and condemnation of the move from the large numbers of people who the BDS claims support them every single day.
