Manchester United have defeated Villarreal 2-1 at Old Trafford courtesy of a stunning late turn-around.
After spurning a number of chances in the first half, the visitors took the lead in the 53rd minute when Paco Alcácer stuck out a leg to meet an Arnaut Danjuma cutback.
However, the Red Devils drew level in splendid fashion on the hour-mark as Alex Telles volleyed home a free kick by Bruno Fernandes.
The game seemed to be heading toward a draw, but Cristiano Ronaldo had other ideas as he fired home from a tight angle in injury time to win it for Manchester.
They are now third in Group F with 3 points, while Villarreal are 4th with one point.
