Wimbledon: Djokovic beats Shapovalov to reach final

Novak Djokovic has moved into the Wimbledon final after defeating Denis Shapovalov in 3 sets.

Djokovic was on the cusp of dropping the opener when the Canadian served for the 1st set at 5-4 but he fought back to win in the ensuing tie break. The Serbian saved several break points in the 2nd set and broke Shapovalov for a 6-5 lead before taking the next game to double his advantage. The duo played in similar fashion in the 3rd with Djokovic posting another 7-5 to move within one win of securing his 20th grand slam title.

The world number one will meet Italian Matteo Berrettini in his 30th grand slam final.
