Paraguay have booked a place in the last 8 of the Copa America after defeating Chile 2-nil in a group A match.

Paraguay opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when Braian Samudio netted with a bullet header from a corner kick.

Then, Miguel Almiron doubled the lead for Paraguay from the spot before the hour mark.

The result ensures that with one round of group games still to play, Paraguay qualify from Group A along with Chile, Argentina and Uruguay
