Every year, Iran celebrates the National Army Day with showcasing new weapon systems, soldiers with machine guns, armored vehicles and warplanes. But for the second consecutive year, the event will be marked in a restricted way and mostly in vehicles.
In a newser in Tehran, the commander of Iran’s Army Aviation announced the plan. The senior commander also elaborated on the Army’s new achievements and capabilities saying they would be further boosted.
Last year, instead of holding military parades, the Iranian military units held health service parades across the country to express readiness to assist the medical society in the battle with the coronavirus.
Iranian Armed Forces have assisted the government to fight against the deadly virus since its outbreak by manufacturing necessary equipment and products, establishing field hospitals, and disinfecting cities.
Iran marks its National Army Day every year on April 18th, but this year due to the corona pandemic no parades will be held and just some restricted programs will be held in motorcades.
