Spanish Copa Del Rey: Granada 3-5 Barcelona

Barcelona's players celebrate after scoring a goal during the Spanish Copa del Rey (King's Cup) quarter-final football match between Granada FC and FC Barcelona at Nuevo Los Carmenes stadium in Granada on February 3, 2021.

Over football news in Spain, Barcelona, who were 2-nil down and just tip toes away from crashing out of the Copa del Rey, completed a roaring comeback to claim a 5-3 win over Granada after extra time

Granada got on the scoresheet against the run of play in the 33rd minute, when a Samuel Umtiti give-away led to a cross and an easy tap-in for Kenedy.

The home-side then doubled their advantage immediately after the restart as Roberto Soldado raced behind the Barca defence and confidently beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Antwaan Griezmann helped pull a goal back for the Catalans two minutes from time. Barca then found a dramatic equalizer in the 2nd minute of stoppage time when Jordi Alba nodded home.

The game then went into extra time, where Barca struck first through Griezmann in the 100th minute, but Fede Vico answered back from the penalty spot 3 minutes later.

Barcelona finally took the lead for good in the 108th minute when Frenkie de Jong swept home and then put the finishing touches on a satisfying win two minutes from time when Alba wonderfully volleyed home from an angle; 5-3 the final score
